Phil Beck

Phil's love of metal began in with a high school Metal Shop class.  Although he loved metal sculpture and working with metal, he couldn't imagine ever making a living creating art.

As he later worked in a metal shop burning machine parts, he became intrigued with the shapes resulting as scrap metal.  Although 99.9% was just scrap, the remaining .1% piqued Phil's imagination.  From that .1% throw-away scrap, Phil started making gates.  Now he makes gates and sculpture, and 'throws-away' the machine parts. . .in other words, he's reproducing that .1% worth of beautiful scrap.

All gates are heavy gauge steel, some with heat-treated, stainless steel or copper, wind sculpture or components.  The hinges are attached.  Posts are not included.  Consumer needs to 'chisel' out a niche in one post for the latch to close.

Metal free-standing sculpture each comes with a 'foot pedal' for easy installation, and a 8-12" attached stake to affix in the ground.

Hanging wind sculpture is approximately 2' diameter.  Each part spins independently.
