Wire Works by Savannah Art Works

Jane Wood founded Wire Works in 1994 and has since designed and sold thousands of her original aluminum and glass pieces to galleries and gift stores nationwide. Wire Works pieces are decorative structures, formed by twisting aluminum wire around glass objects ( votive holders, vases)so that the sculped wire becomes the feet, the arms and the skeletal elements of the design.

To this day, each Wire Works is made by hand. Though the company is showing its 12th year of continued growth, with 42 original designs currently in production, Jane continues to handle all aspects of the business, including packing and shipping orders to retailers.

A native of Mobile, Jane Wood earned a BA in Art from Millsap College and has always been involved in the arts community.
