Atuto has been producing hand crafted objects in the mountains of Honduras for more than twenty years, serving the population with employment and community services.  The new modern production facility is linked to a network of small artisan workshops.  The crafts people bring dedication to their work and possess skills that are unique in all the world.

The Ambos Foundation, established by Atuto and its clients in 1998, was originally organized to aid the victims of Hurricane Mitch.  It is now dedicated to improving the quality of life in rural Honduras, providing at-risk children with day care, food, school supplies and uniforms.  Impoverished elderly are given housing and care.  Funding is made available for construction, repair of homes, sanitary systems, and basic health care services.
